UTV Program

ODO strives to provide all individuals access to the outdoors, providing an equitable healing experience. The UTV program is instrumental for disabled Veterans, individuals with mobility issues and as an exhilarating introduction to our organization for all. Moreover, the UTV program has seen significant success, serving autistic children. The UTV adventures provide therapeutic vibration and multi-sensory natural environments, benefitting autistic individuals who encounter unique sensory, communication, and behavioral challenges. One adventure at a time, ODO’s holistic approach heals and restores lives on many levels. With a very special thanks to the Sestero Family of Glastonbury and The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving for their incredible generosity in fully supporting the purchase of our 2021 Polaris General XP 4 1000. This UTV will be used to take Veterans, their families and young people into the outdoors for re-connection, healthy activity and healing. We will also be focusing on sharing these trips with Glastonbury Residents and any individuals who cannot enjoy the outdoors in the same capacity as their able bodied counterparts due to any disabilities or challenges they may endure. We have already had the privilege of sharing the outdoors with some amazing Veterans and some beautiful autistic children, the impact was exciting to watch. Lastly, none of these trips would be possible without the selfless generosity of the landowners in South Glastonbury who allow The ODO UTV Program to happen on their property! The UTV has already been used to support other Veteran Organizations and will continue to be used to support the ODO Farm Run Series. We are excited for all this program will bring to our Veterans and our community! Our UTV is registered with the state of Connecticut and fully insured!
